Here's the formula; voodoo, volume, violence and vodka combined in a primitive ritual to
raise the devil up out of the swamp. Rock City Crime Wave has been described as "Motor Punk" both
for their relentless, diesel powered, pedal to the metal rock and roll, as well as for their mid 60's
Detroit influences like The Stooges and The MC5, but all tags aside, it's about delivering energetic,
dangerous rock and roll.
In 1998, singer/guitarist EEE Adams disbanded Boston's premiere Crypt-rock band
8 Ball Shifter and within a week, had formed Rock City Crime Wave. After a couple of line-up
changes and painful initiation rituals, the gang stands as EEE Adams, howling like a werewolf in heat,
on vocals and guitar, the diminutive, but powerful, Barry Smith on drums, and the newest member,
who was born standin' up and talkin' back, Poundy (formerly of Boston favorites, Cherry 2000) on bass.
The Rock City Crime Wave/Lamont CD, sold out. The track "Bloodsucker" received multiple
plays on ESPN's Extreme Sports show, Wrecked.
