"Deadly and beautiful…Dragstrip Courage seethes through the
air with subtle violence, like a lethargic and brilliantly colored
exotic snake with not a care in the world." -Scott Hefflon (Lollipop Magazine)
The Record:
ACTUAL SPACE is a 25-minute epic that showcases the band's songwriting and range. "Don't Push Me" and "Actual Space" are back-to-back instant classics. Scott Janovitz's songs display melodic pop sensibilities with multiple-guitar textures showing influences of Radiohead, the Beatles, Wilco, and Elliot Smith.
The News:
The band is already recording their second full-length LP with an addition to its line-up. Joining his younger brother, Scott (lead vocals/guitar), Paul Janovitz (ex-Cold Water Flat) adds lead guitar to the already lush sounds created by David Foy (drums) and Mike Quinn (bass/vocals).
The Facts:
Written & produced by Dragstrip Courage. Recorded by Mike Quinn and COKEDEALER at New Alliance, with a crystalline mix by Matthew Ellard. Beautifully packaged by Curve of the Earth.
